Tours & Activities

Wandering around the warren of tight streets, walkways and canal bridges in Bonacca makes for a culturally interesting tour. This short 2-hour visit is generally conducted on Tuesday afternoons or whichever day we skip the afternoon dive in exchange for a night dive. The tour, which is conducted by our staff, includes a stop at Guanaja’s first Library and Learning Center, one of Dunbar Rock’s first “give back” projects to the community. Staff members and guests have stocked the library with over 10,000 books thus far.

Bo’s Waterfall

At some point during the week when we are returning from diving, or simply killing time on a surface interval, we’ll stop at Bo’s Place.  We’ll take some time to explore the surrounding gardens and then take a short hike up to one of Guanaja’s small but extremely picturesque waterfalls.

Sea Angel Tour

Weather permitting, we like to spend Friday afternoons aboard the Sea Angel. We load up the staff and the bar, and head on our to explore the Guanaja’s south eastern shore. Along the way we'll be passing small settlements and numerous cays and time our return perfectly to catch a glorious sunset.

Kayaking & Standup Paddleboards

Dunbar Rock has kayaks and SUP's available for your complimentary use. Guests are free paddle to the main island or simply tour around the waters.
