The famous pirate, Blackbeard, once used this beautiful historical landmark as a mooring site. Local legend has it that there is buried treasure on the island. When the original owner was constructing the villas, he discovered a hidden cave on the island. He found many pieces of pre-Colombian pottery. Sadly, no treasure was ever found. However, he started construction on what would soon become a new jewel in the Caribbean.

The heated infinity pool, adjacent to the outdoor bar, faces southwest. It is an amazing place to be at any time, especially at sunset.
